Assured Wardley Tips the scales at Twenty Pounds Less Less Compared to Substantial Joseph Parker

Parker registered approximately twenty pounds heavier compared to his opponent as both top fighters presented self-assured appearances - even if in opposing styles - ahead of this weekend's feature bout in the capital.

From New Zealand Joseph Parker is risking his WBO interim championship and chance to compete for the world title at stake against the undefeated Wardley at the O2 Arena.

Reigning top heavyweight Usyk has indicated his plan to retain his four belts facing the winner.

"It all comes down to this. It represents everything," stated a determined but focused Wardley, thirty, at yesterday's scale ceremony.

Wardley - who holds the WBA interim strap - weighed in at 17st 5lb, consistent with his previous matches.

"This fight before the big one. Every effort is completed. Training is wrapped up. All the hard work is put in. Time for some downtime now. Major event ahead," he stated further.

The historic venue in the capital's east witnessed beyond fresh produce on the scales as the two heavyweights squared up for the last occasion before the main event.

Joseph Parker winked at the camera and swayed along to the music.

As he flexed his strength, he looked hefty and strong as he registered at 18st 10lb, only 5lb below than his peak weight.

This represents a significant difference from the 107 kg version who was defeated his championship to Anthony Joshua in the year 2018.

"We are cautious, we're cautious, but I plan to fight fire with fire and I will reach him," Joseph Parker said.

Wardley, dressed in an Ipswich Town jersey, held a focused look, greeted the fans, but appeared concentrated.

Despite being the lighter guy, Fabio Wardley has exceptional stopping ability. He staged a remarkable turnaround versus his opponent in June, down on the judges' cards prior to finishing his rival in the final round despite being outclassed for much of the contest.

"Parker, his corner and supporters are about to discover I am destined to be at the top of this weight class," Fabio Wardley said.

"Each rival has been the fighter experts say will overcome me. This is that fight. He's superior speed, too fast, too experienced. But I haven't been beaten to date, and no one will alter in the ring."
