A pair of individuals lost their lives within a religious building in the town when it was targeted, per municipal sources.

In Russia's border region of the Belgorod region, a lorry operator was killed by a Ukrainian strike, as stated by municipal sources.

Electricity Restoration Operations in Kyiv

Work carried on on Saturday to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Energy had been returned to over 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the largest power firm said the primary work to restore power was concluded though some outages continued.

Anti-Aircraft Actions and Drone Jamming

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems downed or disrupted fifty-four of seventy-eight Russian drones launched targeting the country overnight, the air force reported on Saturday.

The Russian defense officials stated it shot down 42 UAVs from Ukraine over its own soil.

Cuban Government Refutes Accusations of Deploying Troops to the War

The Cuban government on the weekend rejected US assertions it has provided troops to fight in the Ukraine war, while stating Cuban authorities "do not have accurate data about individuals" participating "independently" or "within the troops of the conflicting parties".

The government department in the capital stated 26 Cuban citizens had been given prison terms to prison terms ranging from five up to fourteen years for participating as mercenaries since September 2023 when reports emerged of Cubans being deployed to the battlefield in the conflict.
