The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets have started writing on PS5 topics for the first time. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
